Serge Peter "Pete" Warner Obituary
Serge Peter "Pete" Warner

Serge Peter "Pete" Warner was one of a kind. He passed on peacefully on June 11, 2014.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on November 14, 1941, to the late Serge and Catherine Warner. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Warner. Pete was raised in Fairlawn, Ohio where he became an Eagle Scout and a very proud graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School. He was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, where he studied government. Pete furthered his education at Villanova's law school followed by an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He earned his pilot's license and flew a Cessna which drew the eye of very smart and attractive Judith Steel, whom he later married. Pete spent most of his working career selling medical and athletic supplies. His endearing personality and wit earned him most of his sales contracts where he also secured many of his lifetime friendships. Pete was an avid reader who enjoyed history and everything about the Navy.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Judith; three children, Catherine (Brad) Neff, Tom (Lisa) Warner, and Mary Beth (Jeff) Linn; and seven grandchildren, Olivia, Lindsey, Dylan, Brendan, Meghan, Sophia and Grant; and his brother, Charles; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Known to his grandchildren as "Pap-Pap" and to many as "Uncle Pete", his unique sense of humor will sorely be missed. Pete taught us all to celebrate and embrace life.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th from 4 to 8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 16th at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 6300 East Dublin-Granville Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Archbishop Hoban High School (1 Holy Cross Blvd., Akron, OH 44306) to further Pete's passion for education.
