TALLMADGE -- N. Allene Kronenthal, 95, of Tallmadge, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2014.

Allene was born in White County, Tennessee, on March 4, 1919, to parents Luther and Mary Lee Walker. She lived most of her life in Tallmadge and was a committed Christian who lived out her faith through many volunteer activities. Allene was a long time member of the Goodyear Heights United Presbyterian Church and attended The Chapel on Fir Hill. She was also a long time member of Tallmadge Eko Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob; her son, Jack; her sister, Christine Jacobs; and her brother, Joe Walker.

Allene is survived by her daughters, Ginny (Frank) Matyja of Portage Lakes, Janelle (John) Rasnick of Uniontown, Joyce (Ben) Linnabary of Holmes County; Janice (Bob) Boyles of Warrenton, Virginia; grandchildren, Stephen (Ginger) Kronenthal, Jennifer (Jeremy) Walling, Jerry Kronenthal, Michael (Jody) Matyja, Gregory (Beth) Matyja, Cindy (Nick) Tucey, Amy Boyles, Rebecca Boyles, Elizabeth (Peter) Ingram, Robert Rasnick, and Sarah Rasnick; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylee and Jacob Kronenthal, Isabella, Gage and Ryder Walling, Justin and Ethan Matyja, and Sarah and Matthew Matyja.

Funeral service will be held at The Chapel of Fir Hill on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles J. Myricks and Pastor Kimberly Barnett officiating. Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chapel Hill Christian School, 1090 Howe Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221.
