James R. Koger, 81, passed away June 26, 2014.
He was born on November 12, 1932 in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Hower High with a good background in Auto Mechanics. He retired from Merrick Spring and enjoyed many years in retirement with fishing as a favorite hobby. Jim joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952 and served three years with a tour of duty in Japan.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy; sons, James, Johnny, and Jeff; and sister, Eleanor (Jack) Rastetter of Morgantown, West Virginia.
The family would like to thank Bath Creek Estates for the excellent care they provided for James during his stay.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle), with Rev. John Phillips officiating. Interment will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
