Patrick was born in Akron, Ohio. He served in the U.S. ARMY in World War II. He worked at Firestone for 38 years. Patrick was an avid reader and a superb artist, and known for his fine skill in photography.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lois; children, Sharane Antonette of Portland, Ore., Sandra (Gurinder) Rana of Medina, Ohio, Mark (Melanie) Thorn of Barberton, Ohio, April (David) Sommers of Kent, Ohio; sisters, Gladys Simpson of Salem, Ohio, and Molly Brasher of Big Bear City, Calif., grandchildren, Christian Perry of Munroe Falls, Ohio, Renee (John) Dyer of Parker, Colo., Dr. Rich (Gayle) Rana of San Mateo, Calif., Adam (Elena) Davis of FT. Hood, Texas; along with great-grandchildren, Max, Mia, Sasha, Annabelle, and Franco. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Alvada Thorn; sister, Adah Braziel; brothers, Forest, James, and Clell; foster grandparents, Hugh and Emily Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Summa Hospice for all of their special care. Cremation has taken place. There will be a service with military honors on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 2 p.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Summa Hospice if desired.
