Our joyful, kind-hearted Ron Smiseck passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2014.
He was born in Barberton and lived a wonderful life full of happiness, tenderness, and helping people. Ron retired after 39 years at Cloverleaf Schools and Medina County Career Center.
Ron lived life to the fullest every minute and everyone around him knew how much he loved them. He was an avid traveler, 4-wheeler, lover of nature, and a devoted family man. Ron surrounded his family and friends with big hugs, love and laughter.
Every ounce of love he was ever given he multiplied and selflessly gave away. He never missed an opportunity to show people how much he cared.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Connie (nee Gumm); their daughter, Ellen and son-in-law Jason; grandson, Revan; his 93 year old mother, Cecilia Smiseck; siblings, Leonard (Sharon) Smiseck, Loraine (Fred) Collins, Raymond Smiseck, and Roberta (Jim) Tighe; nieces and nephews, Renee (Deidre), Steven (Wendy), Kim (Eric), Jeff (Melody), Jenny (Ron), Michael, Danny (Angie), Wendy, Christopher (Kristina), Kurt, Matthew, and Curtis; his best friends, Barb and Larry; as well as many other friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven.
The family invites you to remember and honor Ron's amazing life at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, on Monday, 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Perish, 9608 Norwalk Rd., Litchfield.
