Marilyn E. (Lundgren) Petroski Obituary
Marilyn E. Petroski (Nee Lundgren)

Marilyn E. Petroski passed away July 15, 2014. She was born in Akron February 6, 1943. A life long resident of Akron, she attended Central-Hower High School.

Marilyn began BF Goodrich Co. in 1962, where she attained the position of Workers Comp. Administrator until 2000. She worked at Risk International in the same position and retired in 2008.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Petroski (2009) and parents, Robert and Julia Magenau. Marilyn is survived by daughter, Jennifer (David) Lowry; granddaughter, Elsa. She leaves behind her feline friends, Sheba, Arnie and Pippin.

She enjoyed gardening, hiking through the metro parks, drawing pictures with her granddaughter and was an active member of the Putterpuffs Golf League.

She was both incredibly kind and strong beyond words. She exuded love and acceptance with every breath. Never hesitating to help a friend in need; her words were always a comfort and her hugs and kisses made everything better, no matter what burden you were facing. She was incredibly talented with an innate knack for sewing.

We are deeply grateful for the support of special friends Mary Beth Butterfield, Lynne and Glenn Carey. We would like to extend a special thanks to Erin Galloway, Carly Klein, Cate Maloney, Dr. David Yeow and Dr. Marcos di Lima, at Seidman Cancer Center.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, with Memorial Service to follow at Adams Mason Funeral Home, 791 East Market Street, Akron. 330-535-9186 ADAMS MASON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 330-535-9186
