Benny Jean "Lucy" Kaelin (nee Flowers)|
Lucy Kaelin, 79, of Akron, passed away August 10, 2014.
She was born in Livingston, Tenn. on December 9, 1934 to the late Herman and Beulah Flowers. Lucy loved attending church at Norton Church of Christ. In her free time, she was an avid walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert; brother, Harold Rudy Flowers; and sisters, Helen Bernice Buterbaugh and Elsie M. "Edress" Belvin. She will be deeply missed by her son, Eric Kaelin (Heather Fisher); sisters, Edith (Carl) George and Fay Elias; brothers, Herman "Rod" Flowers and Richard (Joyce) Flowers; grandchildren, Jessica, Victoria, and Ryan Kaelin; great-grandchildren, Elena, Ethan, and Kaelin; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lucy's family wishes to thank the staff at Akron City ICU for all the wonderful care given to her.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
