Brenda Stevens Robinson

Brenda Robinson went from labor to reward peacefully on August 15, 2014.

She was born to James and Johney Stevens at the family home in Akron. She had been a lifetime resident of Akron.Brenda attended Seiberling Elementary, Goodyear Junior High, and graduated from East High School where she excelled in music. Her beautiful voice earned her opportunities to sing on many occasions with groups and as a soloist. Brenda was a graduate of The University of Akron majoring in Criminal Justice. She was employed by Akron Summit Community Action Inc. as a parent coordinator and for the past 18 years, she had worked at the Summit County Child Support Agency under Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh as an Administrative Assistant-Supervisor.

Brenda enjoyed reading and learning all of the technology she could. Learning came easy for her. She had a gift for repairing everything from small appliances to working on cars. Brenda was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church where she assisted in the office and the dining room.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Johney Stevens Green (James Green); her sister, Lois Stevens Scruggs; and brother, John Mims. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Cleveland Robinson Jr. (Michelle) and Chandler Robinson (Sheila); her faithful daughter and son-in-law, Roselyn (Joseph) House Jr.; grandchildren, James Robert Hilliard, Cleveland Robinson lll, Sara House, Martin House, and Damien, Alexander, Kassidy and Clarisse Robinson; her precious great-grandchildren, Cleveland lV, Tarae, and Jeremiah; brothers, Arthur (Patricia) Green and Gary (Sherri) Green; and sisters, Zoletta Jean Jones and Linda Green. She also leaves loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends and neighbors, Gloria and Nathan, Lee and Kim and their families. Her Shih Tzu (Prince) was her daily companion.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 5 p.m. at Lutheran Redeemer Church (2141 5th Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221). Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until time of service, Reverend Keith Johnson, officiating. Condolences may be sent to 795 Roslyn Avenue, Akron, OH 44320.
