BARBERTON -- Joseph Cole, 80, passed away October 26, 2009 at the Pleasant View Health Care Center.|
Born in Sumiton, Ala., he had been an area resident most of his life, where he retired from PPG in 1984 after 34 years of service and was a member of the Reimer Road Baptist Church. Joseph was a proud Marine Corps Veteran having served during the Korean War.
Preceded in death by wife, Athlene; parents, Clyde and Bertha; brothers, Ed and Lester; survivors include his daughter, Diana (Marvin) Ross of Barberton; son, Joseph Cole of Akron; grandchildren, Toshia (Josh) Peters, Kate Miller and Michael (Sara) Miller; great-grandsons, Alex and Caleb; brother, Clyde (Cue) Cole of Ft. Worth, Texas and sister, Margaret Richards of Sumiton, Ala.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009, 10 a.m., at the Reimer Road Baptist Church, Rev. John Powell officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Callings hours Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Haven of Rest Ministries.
