Mary L. "Mamie" Rabel

Obituary Condolences

Mary (Mamie) L. Rabel formerly of Nanty Glo, Pa., age 90, died peacefully on February 18, 2010 after a courageous six month battle with cancer.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Rabel; she is survived by daughters, Bonnie Tubo (Lewis) Hartville, Ohio, Jan Rabel (Michael) Mineral Point, Pa., Sharon Carmel (Jack) Uniontown, Ohio, Debbie Fazzone (Bert) Willoughby Hills, Ohio; sister, Zella Meyers; a grandmother to seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by three sisters; one brother and a grandchild, Lisa and great-grandchild, Nicki.

Affectionately also called "Me Me" she lived most of her life in Nanty Glo, Pa. and retired from the Ebensburg State School in 1979. She was a long time member of the St Mary's Altar Rosary Society. She moved to Tallmadge Acre Apts. in Ohio ten years ago and enjoyed playing Pokeno several times a week with her friends at Tallmadge Acre Apts. Even in later years, with limited eyesight and hearing, she continued to cook and loved decorating for the holidays.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 21st. from 2 to 6 p.m. at Ondriezak's Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Pa. A memorial mass will be held Monday, February 22nd at St Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, Pa.
