Elnor R. Gilbo Obituary
Elnor R. Gilbo, 90 years, of Akron, died September 16, 2010.

A native of Illinois and an area resident over 65 years, she retired from Akron General after 23 years as a Registered Nurse. During World War II, Elnor was a 1st Lt. in the ANC. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Past President of the Altar and Rosary Society, a member of the NCCW, and Kenmore Senior Citizens. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross and was the Girl Scout Leader of Troup #360.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, she is survived by daughters, Jennifer (Brett) Rihanek of Sagamore Hills, Stephanie (Gary) Prahst; son, Michael (Sandy) Gilbo of Chardon; grandsons, Philip Prahst, Bradley and Zachary Gilbo; great-grandson, Christopher; special friends, Frank and Betty Witzl and Paula and Fran DelMonte.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Boulevard. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010, at the Chapel at St. Edwards, 3131 Smith Rd., Fr. James Flood officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
