Dana Ross Burkhammer Obituary
Dana Ross Burkhammer, 76, of Barberton, passed away Dec. 18, 2010, peacefully, surrounded by family, at Summit Pallative Hospice Care at Barberton Hospital.

He served as a Cpl in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Korean Conflict and came to the area in 1955. He was a member of A.A.R.P., Barberton Elks and Barberton Moose Lodge #759. He worked in the trucking industries retiring from the City of Barberton in 1996.

Dana was born June 8, 1934 in Linn, W.Va. to Henry and Ivy Burkhammer. His parents preceded him in death as well as his granddaughter, Meghan Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Rosa; their daughters, Lori (Mark) Elavsky of Akron, Pam Burkhammer (Mike Basile) of Barberton, Dee (Rodney) Zoyhofski of Canton, Cheryl (Mel) Johnson of Barberton; grandsons, Nick and Daniel Elavsky, Matthew and Michael Zoyhofski and Chase Ross Johnson.

The family will receive friends Dec. 21, 2010, Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, OH 44203. Funeral service Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Cox, Barberton, (330) 745-3311
