Mary Alice McCall Tabler was born April 23, 1939 to the late Arthur and Sarah McCall in Millbrook, Alabama. She was the first daughter and second eldest of eleven children that blessed this union.|
She became her mother's helper and a second mom to all of her younger siblings. Mary Alice was affectionately known to all those who loved her as ``Molly'. She was a resident of Akron, Ohio since her parents relocated here in winter of 1952. Mary attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School in 1958. She met and married the love of her life, Adam Tabler on January 16, 1964. From that union, they were blessed with two daughters and one son, Rochelle, Kimberly and Wayne Tabler.
Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. She lived to magnify the Lord and thus exemplified the character traits of the Virtuous women as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. Mary was an incredible inspiration to everyone. She demonstrated love and patience in every encounter. She was never so wronged that she could not forgive.
Mary retired from Valley View Nursing Center in 2002 after 20 years of dedicated service. Christian ministries were a major part of Mary's life. Over the years, she served in a number of ministries and on many committees. She sang in the choir, served as a deaconess, a trustee, a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, pastors aid, and in the women's ministry. At the time of her transition, she was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served in the Gate Keepers Ministry, and was an active participant in Noon Bible Study, Wednesday Evening Bible Study and Sunday School.
Mary's Savior called his Angel home on March 21, 2011 where she was embraced by her husband, Adam; and parents, Arthur and Sarah McCall. She leaves to celebrate her homegoing devoted children, Rochelle (Samuel) Antwi, Wayne (Sherri) Tabler and Kimberly Tabler; grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Christopher, Wesley and Katrina; her loving siblings, Charles (Laura) McCall, Darrell (Ella) McCall, Deliah Tabler, Gloria Tucker, Sandra James, Lillie (Paul) Evans, Mattie (Tecumseh) Stewart, Lecount McCall, Ezzard McCall and Carlisa (Curtis) Allen; cherished in-laws, Lenora Harvey, Martha Williams, Wilma Mayle, Milton Tabler, and Cecil Tabler. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nephews, nieces, god children, family and friends. All of those who were blessed to know Mary will have a void in their lives. Mary was never too busy to share a kind or encouraging word. She was a loving, caring, patient, trusting, sensitive woman who demonstrated a lifelong love of her Lord and Savior.
