Richard Lattimer Obituary

Richard E. Lattimer ``Ace', 69, passed away on April 16, 2011.

Ace enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting model cars. He retired from Koch Engineering after 30 years of service. Ace had also served with the U.S. Army. He loved his dog BooBoo.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and John and his infant son, Jason Paul. Survivors include his loving wife, Pauline ``Cricket', of 26 years; daughters, Lori Maupin and Tammy (Ray) Stiff; sons, Mark (Mary) Stilwell and Waylon Lattimer; sister, Marvetta Olivo; brothers, Larry (Debbie), Jim (Ricki), and Curtis; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4 to 6:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Military honors provided by the Mogadore VFW Post 8487 will follow at 6:30 p.m. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerAkron.com.

dear cricket and family, was so sorry to here of aces passing when i got to work tonight. he will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him. i will all ways remember the great conversations we used to have. may god comfort you in your hour of need. you all will be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. he was truly a special person and good friend. so sorry for your loss.

Even though we knew Ace didn't have too much longer to be hereit still isn't easy. Faye and I were glad we got to spend a few hours with him in the last couple of weeks.I remember all the fishing we used to do after work and on weekends.Ace was my best friend and I will always remember him.

Even though we new Ace didn't have yoo longer to be with us, it stil doesn't make it any easier to see him go.Faye and I are glad we could spent those few hours with him a couple of weeks ago. I'll always remember all those evenings we spent fishing together.He was my best friend and we'll never forget him.
