Chester Mounts Obituary
He was born on January 5, 1945 in Gilbert, West Virginia. Chester proudly served in the U.S. Army and later retired from LTV Steel. He was a member of The Chapel and the Vietnam Veterans of America Akicita Oyate Chapter 900 in Akron and he was a 32nd degree Mason. Chester was a longtime friend of Bill W. and G.A.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Mounts, Jr., and Mordechai and Essie Mounts; and brother, Mitchell. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Janet; son, Paul (Nadine) Mounts of Bingen, Germany; daughter, Kimberly Kantorowski; sisters, Linda (Mark) and Jennifer (Danny) and brothers, Ronnie (April), Lanny David (Reba), and Skip; niece, Kathleen Crawford; mother-in-law, Jane Woodhall; brother-in-law, Harold Woodhall and Jan Mooneyham of Venice, Fla.; longtime friend, Danny Kantorowski; many relatives in Gilbert, W. Va., and many friends from Cleveland, Parma, and Akron as well as the staff and residents at Summit Villa. He will be missed by many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8, followed by an 8 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. He used to come into the dry cleaners (White Swan Quality Cleaners) where I work, and always had wonderful stories to tell. He will be greatly missed by all. Im so sorry to hear bout your loss. I work at the customer service desk at cuyahoga falls Sams club, he would always come in upbeat and just the nice man I ever knew. He said he would always put a prayer in at this church for me and told me god will always be with me. The world will miss you Chester and so will I. God only takes the best and I know you will be looking down on everyone.

The Mounts Family, Chester would come to the Akron Bulk Mail Unit every Wednesday. He would always tell me "he got me today" in his prayer book. He was always so pleasent and always talked about his love for his wife and children. I also share with his daughter the same name. So every Wednesday even if I was not the one waiting on him, I would always hear him yell out to me, "Hello Kimberly".
He will surely be missed by all of us in the Akron Bulk Mail Dept. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Janet and family...Chester was a great man with a huge heart. He was never anything but friendly each and every time he came in to our State Farm office.
