Obituary Condolences

Thomas B. Adams, 76, of Ellenton, Fla. and Stow, N.Y., passed away January 3, 2012 in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla.

Tom was born in Jamestown, N.Y. August 23, 1935 to the late Burton T. and Hildur V. Gustafson Adams. Tom was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Jamestown, N.Y. and Bowling Green University, Bowling Green, Ohio.

Tom worked for Art Metal, Inc., Jamestown, N.Y., "Automatic Sprinkler" in Broadview Hts., Ohio and retired from Quickdraft Co. in Canton, Ohio.

Tom enjoyed fishing on Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie. He took many fly-in fishing trips to northern Canada. He enjoyed participating in golf, bowling and was a great soft ball pitcher in the Jamestown area during his younger years. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Palmetto Elks Lodge and Loyal Order of the Moose. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Fanchon; sons, Jason (Delarie) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Tyler (Kristen) of Stow, Ohio; beloved grandchildren, Ashley Adams of Ft. Worth, Texas and Kailey and Cooper Adams of Stow, Ohio; sisters, Marcia (Alan) Rupp and Sandra McAllister; sisters-in-law, Darrylin (Bill) Sperry and Lexie (Jim) Wood; also, many nieces and nephews.

Per Tom's wishes, no service will be held until a later date in New York. His family requests that memorials be sent to the children's room at the Stow Public Library, Stow, OH 44224.
