Kenneth J. Azar Obituary
Kenneth J. Azar, age 84, of Akron, Ohio, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son, entered into rest peacefully April 3, 2012.

Ken was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean war. He was a graduate of The Univ. of Akron earning a Bachelor's degree in teaching where he worked for the Akron Board of Education for several years. He eventually branched out into the business world where he was a successful businessman and Real Estate Broker.

Kenneth loved working out, especially playing handball with his buddies at the Downtown YMCA. He loved his family, life, cooking and his vacations to Naples, Florida.

He is survived by children, Denise Benko (Charles), Lisa Yerian (Lane), Michelle Francisco (Ronald) David Azar, Erika Azar Houska, and Christian Azar. He was the loving husband and friend of Margaret Azar; dearest brother to Joyce Simon (John) and loving grandpapa and gramps to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Landon Azar Franciso and brother, Floyd Azar.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 3204 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Rev. Father Louis Mahshie officiating. The family will receive friends at the Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market Street, Fairlawn, Ohio, Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church Building Fund.
