CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Lewis W. Bromer (Lew), 69, passed away May 15, 2012.|
Lew was born in Wheeling, W. Va. and was the son of deceased father, Lewis W. Bromer, Sr. and mother, Irene W. Bromer (Yost). Brothers, David Allen Bromer, William and Jimmy Hutchison and sister, Gloria Hutchison Abers, predeceased, and he is survived by brothers, Bill, Carl, Tom and Mike Bromer.
Lewis lived in Elizabeth Twp., Pa. for 30 years before moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 1979. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a longstanding brother of Masonic Lodge 789 Wayfarer in Akron. He graduated from Gateway High School in Monroeville, Pa. and furthered his education at the University of Pittsburgh. He was the regional supervisor for Midas Auto Service and retired after 30 years. He also was a local Auctioneer and Realtor for 30 years.
Lewis is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Farmer) Bromer of Cuyahoga Falls; son, Lewis Clyde Bromer of Pittsburgh, son, Curtis Edwin Bromer and wife Stephanie Bromer of Senecaville, Ohio; Gayle E. Bromer of Virginia; daughter, Christine Evonne Bromer Grimm of Seville, daughter, Cyndie Ericka Bromer Wyman and husband, Dean Wyman of Akron; son, Philip David Bromer of Cuyahoga Falls; and grandchildren, Lewis, Levi, Lucy, Bailey, Riley, Travis, Tanner, and Tyler.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 21 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, with a Masonic Service being held at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2121 6th St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. Robert Linsz officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
