Funeral service will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Happy Home Baptist Church in LaFayette, Georgia, with Rev. Bradley Bell and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Interment, LaFayette Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia. I spoke of her yesterday. As her former coach, I remember how determined she was that summer before she won the high school state championship bin pike vault. She was a stellar athlete. Gone way too soon.❤

Our photography studio created Mauri's senior portraits back in 2007-08. A 2013 senior from Carrollton came through today and saw an image of her in one of our albums and mentioned her passing. Mauri, I will never forget those times in elementary school. You used to play with my hair and do different styles. You were funny, sweet and caring.
