Julia Axelrod Obituary

Julia Axelrod, age 82, of Rockville, Md., passed away July 14, 2012.

Born September 15, 1929, she was raised in Colon, Panama, before coming to Akron, Ohio where she met he husband of 34 years, Samuel, who preceded her in death. The family moved to Maryland in the late 1970's.

Julia loved to read, cook, draw and paint. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.

She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, David and Rose Feldman; and her sister, Helen Rotbard. Julia is survived by her sister, Lola Cohen; her children, Lorraine (Michael ) Lippman, Mark (Patricia) Axelrod and David (Karen) Axelrod; and grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Shaina and Zachary Lippman, Benjamin, Samantha and Nathan Axelrod and Sydney Axelrod.

Funeral services for Julia were held on July 16 at the Anshe Sfard Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Hebrew Home of Greater Washington DC, 6121 Montrose RD., Rockville, MD 20852 or Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Dr. Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850.
