Elder Lonzo Bradford Obituary
Eld. Bradford went home to be with the Lord late Friday, July 27, 2012.

Lonzo served in the Army during World War II and was honorably discharged after two years of service. He retired after 41 years at B.F. Goodrich Co. as a rubber worker. Eld. Lonzo Bradford was a Pastor in Springfield and Kent, Ohio for a number of years, came back to his home church, Wooster Avenue Temple and served in the ministry. Lonzo became the Sunday School Supt. in which he served local (42 years) and District (22 years).

He was preceded in death by parents, Alex and Luella Bradford; sisters, Alzona, Stella, Mattie and Leola; brothers, Alex Jr., Arthur Lee Benzine, Jeffrey (Wilma), William (Emma) and Clavon Bradford; grandson, Arland; granddaughter, Tamiko.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his devoted wife of 36 years, Shirley J. Bradford; daughters, Cindy J. Bradford, Cynthia (Lee) Haley, Pauline Clark Bradford, Roslyn Bradford, all of Akron, Ohio, Regina (Pastor Morris) May of Grady, Alabama; sons, Lonzo A. (Shellaree) Bradford of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Michael (Carmela) Bradford of Salem, Alabama, Darren (Tresa) Treadwell of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Pastor Richard (Ida) Bradford; sister, Sufern (late Irvin) Rivers; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Troy Bishop (Family Physician) Leila Denise Bouille (Nurse Practitioner) and Dr. Steven Radway (Director of Palliative Care) and the entire Summa Health Intensive Care Unit.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St Ashworth Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1086 V. Odom Blvd., Akron, OH 44307, Supt. A.C.S. Walker eulogizing. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. All family meet at the church and line up at 9:30 a.m. for procession.
