William Paul Stanfield Obituary
William Paul Stanfield, 68, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on October 27, 2012.

He was a lifelong Cuyahoga Falls resident who graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps before beginning his 42 year career as a research and design technician at Firestone, where he earned two patents for building machinery. He was a member of The Eagles Club and IAC, among various other organizations. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, musical talents and his ability on the golf course.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. He is survived by his fiancée, Maxine Smith; daughters, Andrea Stanfield and Julie Coover; granddaughters, Carter Carroll and Brittany Matz; and brother, John Stanfield.

A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ciriello and Carr Cuyahoga Falls Chapel, 810 Portage Tr., 44221, where friends may call beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., Akron 44310.
