Lahkeyah Raeia Butler Obituary
Lahkeyah Raeia Butler, known to family and friends as "Lady L", entered this life on March 18, 1979 to the late Lawrence R. Butler, Sr. and Cathy Mitchell-Butler. On January 10, 2013, she made her spiritual transition to her home of eternal peace.

Lahkeyah was a 1997 graduate of Garfield High School and after graduation she proudly served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Yokosuko, Japan. After her tour of duty, she relocated to Dallas, Texas and was employed with the USAF Base in Dallas, Texas. She was a faithful member of The Children of the I Am.

Lahkeyah was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence R. Butler, Sr., and leaves to cherish her loving memory, her devoted and loving mother, Cathy Mitchell-Butler; sister, Trina Butler; brother, Lawrence R. Butler, Jr.; niece, Assianna Thompson-Butler; nephew, Lawrence Riley Butler, all of Akron, Ohio; and grandmother, Minnie Mitchell of Akron, Ohio; special cousins, Natasha Ervin and Unique Fitch of Akron, Ohio; aunts, Barbara Butler, Allison (aka Peach) (Kenneth) Smith; Uncle William (aka Ill Bill) Mitchell, all of Akron, Ohio; and a host other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Rhoden Memorial Home, with Rev. Dr. Eugene Shy officiating and Kenneth J. Smith assisting. Calling hours will be 12 p.m., with service immediately following at 1 p.m. Interment at Ohio Western Reserved National Cemetery.
