Robert L. Bard Obituary
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Robert L. Bard, 90, passed away peacefully March 7, 2013.

Mr. Bard was born in Cuyahoga Falls and resided there his entire life. A 1940 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and worked as plant manager for Reuther Mold. He was a life member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bird watching.

Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy and son, William, he is survived by his daughter, Sue (Dave) Eastin of Massachusetts; son, Robert (Janet) of Boston Heights; daughter-in-law, Susan Bard of Tennessee; grandchildren, Tracy (Paul) Podraza, Jonathan Bard, Steven Reitz, Aaron (Mickey) Eastin and Amy (Andrew) Barksdale; great-grandchildren, Mica and Jon; in-laws, Bill and Marge McMunn; brother-in-law, Bill and sister Marge; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 in the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221, Rev. J. Ross Slaughter officiating. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Charles Faust American Legion Post 281.
