Roseann L. DiLiddo (nee Canalaz), 83, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer.|
She was born December 27, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a resident of Akron for the last thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Teresa Canalaz (Lauretic); brother, Mario Canaly; nephews, John and Ken Canaly; and son, David. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bart; her daughter, Kara (Payton); two granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Roseann had a huge heart and especially loved to be with people. She was an avid reader, reading up to five newspapers a day and up to three books per week. She loved to play bridge with her friends and was a member of the Bath Volunteers and Bath Women's Club. She graduated from West High School in Cleveland and still enjoyed having lunch with her former classmates. She especially loved her grandchildren, Abbey and Hannah.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 8, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hilary's Church, 2750 W. Market Street, Akron. Interment will take place immediately after at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland, with a luncheon following. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Hospice of Akron General Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron OH 44333.
