Thomas "Tom" Dee Mitchell, age 64, passed away February 11, 2013 of natural causes in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.|
He was born August 3, 1948 and grew up in Norton. After graduating from Norton High School he enlisted in the army and served in the Vietnam War. Tom lived in the resort area of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for many years where he was employed as a hotel caretaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Evelyn (Wynn) Mitchell and brother, Joseph Mitchell. He leaves his son, Thomas Mitchell; granddaughter, Angela Mitchell; brother, Steven (Susan) Mitchell; niece and nephew, Jennifer Wolfert (Matt) and Scott (Carolann) Mitchell; stepmother, Joan Mitchell; plus other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Tom was very loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his zest for life and for his love, kindness and willingness to help anyone in need.
Burial will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman on May 10 at 1:30 p.m.
