Richard C. Allen, 78, of Akron, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Akron City Hospital Medical Center.|
He was born January 4, 1935 in Cleveland, to Carl and Louise Allen. Richard was the owner and operator of Allen & Sons Window Washing business for 40 years. He attended Community of Believers Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
He is survived by his seven sons, Robert (Pam) of Rootstown, Richard (Drew) of Prosper, Texas, Randy of Akron, Russell of Lakewood, Ray of Stow, Reade (Kim) of Kent, Ryan (Shanda) of Cuyahoga Falls; four daughters, Cindy (Gary) Ohler of Cuyahoga Falls, Pamela (Michael) Sigurani of Cuyahoga Falls, Lisette (Peter) Tuohy of Woodland Hills, Calif., Dawn (Eric) Slicker of Louisville, Ky.; twenty eight grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann; and son, Regan.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31st at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1st with Pastor Tom Bloom officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
