Janet Leigh Shelton, age 44, of Green, went home to live with her Lord on Friday, May 31, 2013. |
She was born May 1, 1969 in Orrville, Ohio and was a graduate of Dalton High School. She received her BSN in nursing at Kent State University and was a RN and nurse clinician at Akron General Medical Center for 22 years. She most recently worked in the PACU recovery room. She was elected champion representative for her unit and helped AGMC achieve the MAGNET Award. She was a member of The Chapel in Green.
Janet is survived by her husband of 14 years, Steven E. Shelton of Green; her sons Andrew and Garrett both of the home; parents, Edward L. and Peggy Eschman of Dalton; grandmother, Helen Eschman of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Edward J. and Sarah Eschman of North Lawrence; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Les Troyer of Uniontown; niece and nephews, Jessica and Seth Troyer and Ethan Eschman; and father and mother-in-law, Ed and Bobbie Shelton of Middleburg Hts., Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Golden and Eunice Morris, grandfather, John Eschman and uncle, John Eschman II.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at The Chapel in Green, 1800 Raber Rd., Green, Ohio 44685 with Pastor Mike Castelli officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio 44646. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
