Kathleen Iyone Post (nee Mulcahey), 84, passed away June 12, 2013.
She was born in Aberdeen, S.D. and resided in Silver Lake and Akron. Mrs. Post attended the Mac Murray College for Women from 1946 to 48, going on to graduate from Northwestern University in 1950 with a BA in Public School Music. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the Akron Rotary Anns, serving as president in the early 70s. Their primary focus being the Rotary handicapped Children's Camp. Mrs. Post ran Stan Hywet's Ohio Mart in the early 70's, worked in the gift shop and served on the Stan Hywet Board. She was on the Women's Board at Akron City Hospital, arbitrated for the BBB, and was also in the Jr. League.
Preceded in death by her son, Joseph Mark, she is survived by her husband, Joseph of 61 years; daughter, Mary Kathleen (John) Barraco; son, Robert John (Alexis); daughter-in-law, Pam (Dennis) Connsidine, five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
