COPLEY -- Marlene Myers Poling passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 in her home after a long illness.|
Marlene Margaret Myers Poling was born on September 12, 1934 to her parents, Carl E. and Ruth Gertrude Myers of Portage Lakes. Marlene graduated from Coventry High School and attended the University of Akron. At the age of 14 she started working in the family business, Akron Steel Fabricators and become primary owner.
Marlene, along with her family lived in Sharon Center, Ohio, where she was an active member of her church and community.
Marlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Lloyd Poling; her children, Melissa (Poling) and Larry Hill, David Poling, and Cynthia (Poling) and James Knechtges; her grandchildren, John, Myles, Steven, Samantha, Kevin, Julie, Marlana and Joshua; brother, Carl (Karen) Myers Jr.; sister-in-law, Nancy (Bob) Cearley.
Marlene was dearly loved by her family.
The family would like to extend special thanks to caregiver, Rebecca Savalan.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Dale R. Turner officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday for 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
