Rodger K. Vandegrift|
Rodger K. Vandegrift, age 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 in his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 2, 1937 in New Franklin to Forrest and Roma (Bacon) Vandegrift. He retired from Wallace Foods where he was a salesman. He graduated from Malvern High School in 1955, was in the National Guard, and is a member of the Elks Lodge in Alliance and the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Kiko of Greenville, S.C. and Diana (Don) Sigmon of Akron; seven grandchildren, Joanna, Stephanie and Natalie Sigmon, Danial Kiko, Anthony, Alex, and Nicholas Brewster; sister, Kay Vandegrift; brother, Larry Karlen; and many good friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 21 at 12 noon in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
