William Henry Bolanz, Sr., passed away at Robinson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
William was born in Cuyahoga Falls on August 1, 1929 to parents Henry and Mary Bolanz.
William was a Marine Corps veteran and served his country proudly during the Korean war. Mr. Bolanz enjoyed a career as a long distance truck driver for 50 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 224. Over the years he loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports and enjoyed his extensive gun collection.
William was most at peace on his John Deere tractor.
Surviving William is his wife of 44 years, Connie. Surviving also are his children, William "Bill" Bolanz Sr., Nancy (Carl) Siever, Henry (Tara) Bolanz, Susan (Brian) Behon, David (Dawn) Bolanz, Connie (Anthony) Kitchen, Shonna Stone and Tammy Ellis. William also leaves his sister, Mary Lou Bolanz, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Pamela Tilley; grandson, Devon Bolanz; and his brother, Nicholas Charles Bolanz.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday, August 31st with Pastor David Ballert officiating.
