James "Jim" |
BARBERTON -- James "Jim" Dawson, born September 13, 1932, left us peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2013.
He may have left peacefully, but he lived his life large and loud. Jim loved his family, he is husband to, Barbara for 59 years; proud father of, Dane, Teresa, Bernice and Toni; Jim had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. There was always a cookie or donuts waiting for them. He had three favorite sons-in-law, Ron, Dick and David, they were his friends and buddies. Jim loved his dog, "Max", who left him too soon. He was the official pet-setter of the family and was glad to do it.
Jim traveled the world while serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and also as a Field Engineer for Venetta Inc.
Jim will be happy to join his mother, Iva; his brother, William; and his mother-in-law, Eva, who left him behind years ago. Jim will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 on Friday, from 1 to 3 p.m.
