Edwin Walter Thompson III
Edwin Walter Thompson III, 70, of Wadsworth, entered into the gates of Heaven on September 25, 2013.
Edwin was born September 3, 1943 in San Francisco, Calif. to Edwin Jr. and Margaret (Shumaker) Thompson. He served as an airman with the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Ford Brookpark assembly plant as an environmental electrician. Edwin was a member of mason lodge #58. He was a gifted car enthusiast that took pride in restoring classic cars; and spent many weekends at car shows and swap meets. Edwin had a sincere love for nature and animals; he was rarely seen without his faithful canine Harley.
Edwin is survived by his two children, Chris (Michell) Thompson, Dawn (Mike) Dolbow; grandchildren, Luke and Sydney; siblings, Patty (Tom) Trivisonno and Gary Thompson; niece and nephew, Aaron, Lindsay; and close friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Ed was a good friend, we would talk when I visited him from time to time, we both shared our love for Studebaker's and he loved all GM cars also, Ed was one of a kind.
