Robert Henry Bryant, 83, went home to be with the Lord November 21, 2013 at Akron General Medical Center.
Born in Lithonia, Ga., he had lived most of his life in this community. He was a U.S. Army veteran, had been employed and was retired from BF Goodrich after 27 years of service and was a member of ST. Paul AME Church where he served as a Trustee.
He is survived by his wife, Rev. Danella Bryant; sons, Donald Robert (Amita) and Robin Daniel (Denise) both of Akron; daughter, Brooke N. Greene of Vance, Ala.; God son, Benjamin Robinson of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Willa (Edgar) Collins; niece, Barbara Ann Burke of Quincy, Mass; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church, 1250 S. Hawkins Ave. with Rev. Bruce L. Butcher officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Procession will form at the church.
