George W. Hoover, Sr.

George W. Hoover, Sr., 90, passed away on January 2, 2014.

Born in Tracy City, Tenn., the son of the late Walker and Lallie Hoover, Mr. Hoover came to this area in 1949 after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He became the owner and operator of The Stuver Auto Spring Co. on North Hill and was an active member of St. Mary's Anglican Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and his son, George Jr., he is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Bennett of Largo, Fla. and brothers, Bill of California and Corky of Tennessee.

Burial Office was recited at St. Mary's Anglican Catholic Church on Saturday, January 4, 2014, followed by interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Please go to www.dunn-quigley.com to view George's Book of Memories or to leave condolences.
