Eddie passed away Saturday, Decemeber 21, 2013 at his home in Dickson, Tenn. from complications of Parkinsons at 89 years old.

He was born on October 10, 1924 to the late Forrest and Bertha Atzenhofer and grew up in Stow, Ohio. He is a graduate of Stow High School and Kent State University and had been retired from Sears Roebuck for 33 years. Eddie was honored in Washington, D.C. in 2012 by the Wish of a Lifetime foundation for being a World War II Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Mt. Akra Lodge in Kent Ohio, the 32 Degree Masons in Lake Worth, Fla., the Mahi Shriners in Mount Dora, Fla. and the American Legion in Eustis, Fla.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helene; daughters, Karen (Gerald) Strickland, and Pamela (Michael) Raider; son, Karl (Nancy); sister, Vera Mozingo of Stow; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Eddie will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his contagious smile and the ability to make fun in any situation. He had the spirit of an Angel who never met a stranger and who met every challenge with unquestionable resolve. Eddie will continue to be an inspiration to everyone he has met and leaves a lifelong trail of happy memories.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Research Fund, 1161 21st Ave. S, A0118 MCN, Nashville, TN 37232-2551. We miss and love you bunchies Daddy… xo
