John F. Bolyard Obituary
John F. Bolyard

John F. Bolyard made his journey home on Friday, March 21, 2014, following in the footsteps of his parents, Elizabeth (Swigart) Bolyard and Cloyd Joshua Bolyard.

He will be remembered and missed by his devoted wife, Brenda, of 43 years; loving children, Chris (Anna) and Mary Beth; and his treasured grandchildren, Jesse, Logan, and Mercedes. Cut to the chase "Jase," Jason Berger, became a close friend and was instrumental in John's care. Also remembered by his caring sisters, Barbara Walker, Jane (Bill) Strecker, and Beth (Bill) Knisely; brother, David (Kathy) Bolyard; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, in-laws, and out-laws.

John proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors: fires, walking everyday--rain or shine--and relocating "rodents" from his property as often as he could. John cherished his grandchildren and every moment with them. His faith was very important to him and to pass along to his family. Scriptures and Bible verses were always present. He taught himself to become quite a good cook and had just recently retired.

Cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life Everlasting will be held for all to enjoy on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Village of Mayfair Clubhouse South (4076 Mayfair Road, Uniontown) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We would like to extend a very gracious thank you to everyone at Hospice of Summa who lovingly took wonderful care of John during this very painful time for us. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations would be made in John's name to Hospice of Summa, P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44309-2090.
