Maria Denzinger Obituary
Maria (Mary) Denzinger, 87, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 after being diagnosed with lung cancer only three days earlier.
She was born in Cepin, Croatia on January 17, 1927. She survived World War II and the communist takeover of her homeland. She then married Jakob Denzinger in 1950. In 1954, she moved to Germany along with her young son. In 1956, she moved to Akron to start a new life. Mary worked very hard all of her life.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Patricia); grandchildren, Karen (Tod) Schneider and Paul (Ashley) Denzinger; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Annika Schneider; and special friend, Cecil Nelson.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery.

Your mother attended our wedding and I have the fondest memories of your family. My mother, Rosalie Solt, passed away several years ago. I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend the services. Cecil and Mary were dedicated to "Founders Day Breakfast" Mary got a kick out of having us fetch her coffee and cookies.I will miss "Thank you very much" and hearing her read with that accent.My condolences to the Denzinger family and especially my dear friend Cece.

"Mary will be very missed. I always looked forward to seeing her and Cecil every Wednesday morning at "Noetic Bloomers" She was protective of Cecil and who sat by him! One time I walked in, she looked at me and put her coffee cup on the other side of him to make sure I didn't sit by him! It was so cute. She had such a wonderful smile. She always made me smile. I will greatly miss her.

I am sorry to hear about your mother Tom. How she loved to be outside working with the flowers at the apartments. She always had a great smile and enjoyed talking to everyone.
