Alfonso J. "Hap" DiMichele|
HUDSON -- Alfonso J. "Hap" DiMichele, age 99, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence where he was born Jan. 5, 1915.
He was a Hudson businessman owning a shoe maker and repair shop. He was a volunteer on the Hudson Fire Department for 40 years and member of the Hudson Police Department. Hap served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Hudson American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude (nee McCandles) and his sisters, Margaret Berardi, Virginia Cramer and Angeline DeVito, and is survived by his son, Tim of Hudson; grandchildren, Victoria (Anthony Mannarino) DiMichele, Matthew (Deidre) DiMichele and Christopher DiMichele; and great-grandson, Jaxon.
Friends will be received Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 19 E. Main Street (on the Square), Hudson, Ohio, 330-650-4181. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 N. Main Street, Hudson, Ohio (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hudson, Ohio.
