Alan Richard Hart

Alan Richard Hart, age 74, passed away Sunday, April 27 at the Stow Glen Retirement Community with his family by his side.

Alan was born November 9, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Naomi Hart. He attended the Cooper's School of Art followed by joining the United States Marine Corps in February 1958 where he served as a construction draftsman. Alan achieved the rank of corporal and was awarded the Expert Marksman Badges for the rifle and pistol and also received the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal. Following his time in the service he attended and graduated from the Famous Artists School. Alan then went to work for General Motors in Cleveland and retired after 36 years. He had many interests including art, chess, gardening and birds to name a few. He also enjoyed his many friendships with family and friends.

Alan is survived by his son, Richard; grandson, Weston; sister, Myra Hart Marcinek; nieces, Tina Mindzora and Kelly Keleman; nephews, Scott Marcinek and Anthony Marcinek (deceased); grandnieces Megan Keleman and Alyssa Mindzora; and grandnephews, Matthew Keleman and Jacob Mindzora.

Friends received at THE ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY, BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), SATURDAY, MAY 3 FROM 10 TO 11 A.M., with a closing service at 11 A.M. Entombment at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Bedford Hts.
