Robert Mosser Obituary
Father, Grandfather, and Companion, Robert W. Mosser Jr., 76, of Sebastian, Fla., passed away to be with God on May 26, 2004, in Vero Beach, Fla., after the onset of a sudden illness. His family was able to share memories and their love with him before he died.
Robert was born to Virginia and Robert Sr. on Sept. 25, 1927, in Akron. He was a long time resident of Kent until 1998 when he moved to his little house on the lake he loved in Sebastian.
The owner of Mosser Studio for over 40 years, he shared in the lives of many in the community by applying his photographic craft recording their most cherished events. He served as president of the Ohio P.P.A. and recognized nationally for his achievement in photog raphy. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he proudly served our country in World War II.
Robert was married to Irene Thomas on April 24, 1948, and spent 46 happy, loving years together traveling and raising their five children, until Irene's death in 1993.
He is survived by his dear companion and friend, Jane Weiss, also a longtime resident of Kent and now of Sebastian; and his five children and their spouses, Jeffery and B.J. Mosser of Carrollton, Ga., Thomas and Connie Mosser of Seymour, Tenn., Roberta and Jesse Mohler of Virginia Beach, Va., Chris tine and Larry Doster of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and Heather and Andy Knapp of Kent; his 15 grandchildren, Kimberly, Cory, Logan, and Jennifer Mosser, Daniel and Christina Mosser, Robert, Christine, and Holly McCarraher, Ivy, John, and Jo seph Doster, and Jacob, Brandon, and Derek Knapp.
Dad, you left behind a legacy of love and gentleness, pride and service. Bless you.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Cre matory in Kent, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Doyle Luckenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Standing Rock Ceme tery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the VNA Hospice of Indian River, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Fla. 32960.

Bob was also a volunteer fireman in Kent, and I remember him zipping past our house when the fire siren had sounded. He was a classic fixture in Kent; sorry to hear of Irene's and Bob's passing.
