Richard ``Dick" Hamlin

Richard "Dick" Hamlin, 75, was born Sept. 25, 1931 and entered into Eternal Life April 6, 2007.

He was the loving father of Richard, Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz., Bruce (Cindy) of Villa Park, Calif., Lisa (Dick) Hamilton of Solon, Ohio, and Denise of Phoenix, Ariz.; beloved brother to Larry of Maui, Hawaii; grandfather to Tim, Brian, Tyler (deceased), Ashlee, Nicol, Trevis and Kelsey; and great-grandfather of four.

Dick was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1949. Dick was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1949 and retired from baseball in 1956. Dick was inducted into the Akron Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989. He was rated as one of the Top Ten Best Baseball players ever in the Akron Amateur Ranks.
