MARGARET SWIRCZYNSKI Obituary

SwirczynskiNov. 12, 1925 - Feb. 18, 2013 THE VILLAGE Margaret Ann (87) was born in Enid OK, on 11-12-25 to Mary Viola and Raymond Brown. She could not have known at the time of her birth that she and her family would play a part in the early history of Oklahoma. Her close ancestors had made the run for a piece of that famous Oklahoma red soil. She did not know that she would play a part in a small town near the Kansas border. She did not know that she would grow up working in a small dry goods store on Broadway Street helping her mom Ola Brown sell clothing important to the farming community. Later she would make her career by attending St. Anthony School of Nursing in OKC. During that time she would meet her future husband Stanley "Babe" Swirczynski. After marrying they settled in OKC's north side, and she was employed at Family Medical Clinic, where she worked for many years. After Babe died in 1983, she remarried Louis J. Swirczynski, and lived happily in OKC until his death in 2009. She was able to remain in her home until her death. Margaret Ann nursed in a private medical clinic in Yukon, OK until the 1990s and retired. Until recently she was living independently in her home and entertaining friends and relatives there. Although she lived far from her farms in Pond Creek, OK, taking part in the farming process was her greatest love. She was indeed a child of the soil. Margaret Ann is survived by her daughter Rayge and son-in-law Skip Johnson and grandchildren Richard and Aili, and great grandchild Lyric. She is survived by many nieces and nephews - Sandy, Gracie and Jeff Pappan, and also JoEllen Reed and Jerry and Kathy Cooper, Karen Doyle and step-daughter Sharon Oppman and many cousins and other relatives, and countless friends and neighbors, whom she loved dearly. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held at The Village Methodist Church in OKC on Sat. at 10:00 am. Interment will be at 2:30pm at the Pond Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or memorial to Village United Methodist Church.

We were so sorry to hear about Margaret. What a fine lady she was! She touched so many with her wonderful heart And sense of true caring. She had been a special friend of our folks, Millie & Paul Oldham, for many years. A heart has been stilled but her rich legacy will not end.
