May 3, 1929 - March 22, 2014 MUSTANG Aubrey Baty, 84, was called home on March 22. Born May 3, 1929, in Enid, Oklahoma, he grew up in Thayer, Kansas, graduated from Marysville, California, and joined the Air Force. Aubrey worked for Bridgestone/Firestone until his retirement at 58. He filled his leisure enjoying his cattle ranch, golfing, shooting pool, having coffee with longtime friends, spending time with family, vacationing, and filling the leftover time just riding around the countryside seeing what had changed since his last drive. Preceded in death by his mother, Opal Brown, and stepfather, Ralph; his father, Eugene Baty, and stepmother, Mildred; sister, Najean Baty; and his son-in-law, Pete Cox; he is deeply missed by his wife of 43 years, Elaine Sutherland Baty; his daughters, Donna B Cox, Pam Hubbard (Howard), and Stacey Vascellaro (Adam); his sons, Rodney Baty (Jamie) and Scott Baty; eight granddaughters, six with their spouses; four grandsons, 14 great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons. So glad Aubrey had so many good years of retirement, having retired at 58. He trained me to do his job before he left B/F. He was definitely a gentleman and a sweet man. My condolences to his family. May you rest in peace Aubrey.
