Jefferson Oct 8, 1924 - March 16, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Victor W. Jefferson died Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Norman, OK. He was born October 8, 1924, the son of Douglas and Ida Jefferson. Victor was full-blood Choctaw and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, receiving the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart medals. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Gerald Max Jefferson; daughter, Debra Jefferson; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of the home; five sons; one daughter; numerous nieces and nephews; one surrogate son; and many other loved ones. A Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Glorieta Baptist Church. Services to celebrate Victor's life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at Mayridge Baptist Church. Members and friends of the 807th Tank Destroyer Battalion send their regards and deepest sympathies to Mr. Jefferson's family. It is a hard time to lose a buddy and sadly there are fewer and fewer with each new day.
