May 7, 1926 - April 1, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Peter Sam Caporal was born on May 7, 1926 in Oklahoma City the son of Sam and Demetra (Gregore) Caporal. He fell asleep in the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2013. He served his country in WWII for 3 years as a Military Police Staff Sergeant in the South Pacific Theater in the Phillipines. Pete was a businessman and owner of theaters and liquor stores in the Oklahoma City area. His passion and love for his family was unparalleled, as was the friendships he bestowed to so many. His passion and expertise in hunting was well known to all. To know him was to love him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Sam Peter Caporal, and brothers George and Chris Caporal, as well as his brother-in-law and bestfriend William Chalos. He is survived by his wife of fifty- nine years Argie Chalos Caporal; daughter Demee Hoshall and husband Tom; granddaughters Christina Hess and husband Paul and Lexi Hoshall; and his sister Lillian Gambulos. Memorials may be made to: St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2101 NW 145th, Oklahoma City, OK 73134 or Myasthenia Gravis Foundation (for research), 4606 E. 67th St., Ste. 100, Tulsa, OK 74136-4905. Trisagion Prayers will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, St. George Greek Orthodox Church with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
