Smith, Jr. June 6, 1955 - December 8, 2012 CHOCTAW Eugene Floyd Smith Jr. (57) Born June 6, 1955 to Kathryn Mae Irons and Eugene Smith Sr. left to be with God on Saturday, December 8, 2012. He passed away peacefully at MD Anderson in Houston due to complications of Leukemia. Gene is survived by his father, Eugene Smith Sr. and step- mother Kathy Garcia of Choctaw. He leaves two sisters, Kathy Black of Choctaw and Lisa Welchel of Tecumseh and one brother, David Smith of OKC. Gene also leaves behind his two greatest treasures, his two sons, Christopher and Ricky Smith of Choctaw. Gene was a wonderful father who enjoyed restoring old Camaros, football and monster trucks with his boys. Gene was always close to his entire family. He never left anyone in a jam and was always the first to volunteer to help no matter if he was pulling you out of a ditch with his truck or loading up the tractor. Gene has left behind many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. All the children in the family looked to Gene for guidance and support and his absence is a true tragedy to the entire family. Gene was retired from General Motors and was currently employed at Fire Lake Grand Casino. Gene was a loyal and hard worker and was very proud of his work. A good work ethic was very important to Gene and he left behind many friends. Gene touched the lives of everyone he met and will forever be missed by those of them that had the pleasure of knowing him. Gene will always have a place in each of our hearts that will always be filled with the many wonderful memories that each of us have, memories that will be cherished forever. He will be forever missed and loved. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You were my neighbor, friend and buddy. We had good times going to the state fair each year, concerts, out to eat and playing the slots. I really enjoyed the ride in the new Camero. Wish you could have been here for more rides and had time to figure out the automated backing on that new vehicle. I always called you Houdini because you were always disappearing and now you have gone out of my life. I will greatly miss you and your wonderful attitude on life. Keep smiling down on all of us you left and I will smile when I think of you.
Miss you forever.
Love
