Burkes Sr.Nov. 30, 1941 - July 21, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Charles Henry Burkes Sr., 71, of Midwest City, died July 21, 2013 at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1941 in Siloam Spring, AR to Floyd and Lucy Mae Burkes. He retired from Tinker AFB as a Jet Engine Mechanic after 34 years of service. Charles attended Soldier Creek Baptist Church and loved to fish, hunt, golf, and work on cars out in his shop. He enjoyed spending time with his 8 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Charles Franklin Burkes, and 1 brother David Burkes. Charles is survived by his wife Patricia, of the home, daughters Tammie Foshee, Dana Monroe, and Karen Madewell, sons Danny Hood and Charles Jr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens. Chuck was an amazing man. I have alot of fond memories of him and his family. The sleep overs at their house with Karen were some of the best times in my life. Prayers for the family
