ANTONIA PANARAS

Nov 22, 1951 - Feb 21, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Antonia Panaras, 61, of Oklahoma City, passed away on February 21, 2013, in the home she loved, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on November 22, 1951, in Oklahoma City to William and Constance Panaras. Although since childhood Antonia never had the full use of her body, but her spirit and loving nature knew no bounds. She was the embodiment of joy — she always had a smile on her face. Antonia loved everyone, and in turn everyone who met her knew they had encountered a truly special, loving person. Some people are put on this world to learn, and others are here to teach. Antonia taught us lessons of patience, wonder, and hope that we will carry with us until the end of our days. Antonia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Nick Panaras and wife Jonell, of Kansas City; sister, Katherine Panaras Fox and husband Mike, of Bedford, Texas; brother, Louis Panaras (Kathy), of Oklahoma City; sister, Elaine Panaras Bappert, and brother, John Panaras and wife Carolyn, of Oklahoma City. She is further survived by numerous beloved nephews, nieces and cousins. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Richard, Lacey, Vuvu, Companion Hospice, the Staffs of Wecare and Quality Home Health Care for the compassion, kindness and gentle care they bestowed on our precious sister. Trisagion service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2101 N.W. 145th Street, Oklahoma City, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
